It's fun when presents have at least a small sense of discovery. You're wondering: Will they like it? Or if you're on the receiving end, you're examining the shape and the weight of the package and trying to figure out what might be inside. But part of the fun of the gift-giving enterprise is the sense of risk. They're practical, and the person receiving the gift can chose what they want, so they're never disappointed.
